Cove Point Lodge is a romantic place filledwith many quiet and private spaces in the lodge, out on the point, at the  old cove side fish house deck, and around the vast shoreline and property.   But we are also an active place with hiking, biking, swimming, and adventures into the Superior National Forest  or to small locally owned shops.  We are a photographers paradise and the cross country skiing is fantastic.  But at the end of the day, you can be assured that you can return to a place where there are no conventions,  corporate meeting,  or late night parties.  Instead we focus on families, couples and individuals seeking the sound of the waves and the conversation of the camp fire.
Imagine a day of hiking or sightseeing
in the crisp air of the North Shore followed by a late afternoon swim in our pool and time in our hot tub overlooking Lake Superior. And then you decide to stroll out to the point and sit in private as the lake envelopes you with the sense of seclusion and calm. As the day winds down you might decide to enjoy a glass of wine as you sit outside in an Adirondack chair listening to the waves and  you  inhale  the fresh cool air.  Inside, your candle lit table with white linen awaits you.  As the moon rises over the lake, you retire to your in-room Jacuzzi framed by the moonlit windows and fireplace.  As you retire for the evening, the only music you hear is the lapping of the waves from Lake Superior.

Romantic Accommodations and packages

Cove Point Lodge specializes in your privacy.   We have rooms with decks,  fireplaces  and Jacuzzi rooms.  And we have deluxe cottages with sweeping lake views.
We also have six deluxe staterooms that feature the best views of the lake and best access to the dining room and great hall.  These accommodations include incredible views, upgraded linen and robes,  a Jacuzzi,
free DVD movies,  a breakfast basket delivered each morning  and most have a fireplace.

We feature a package throughout the year that if you stay 3 nights you get the 4th night free.

Each year several couples choose to get married at Cove Point Lodge.  Some are married out on the point, others in front of the fireplace or outside by the lake.  Still others will say their vows at Split Rock Lighthouse.   In all cases, these ceremonies are conducted with a small group of friends and relatives and as a result it is a very meaningful and private event.  This service is customized to your requirements.  Please note that we are not able to conduct weddings from mid-June through August and the middle of September to November 1st.
